Temperatures will drop from mild on Thursday to gradually getting colder and colder as we approach the weekend.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Today will be mostly dry but cloudy and just a few bright or sunny spells. However, cloud will build again from the west during the afternoon and evening.
