Kathleen Mulhall, the mum of the notorious Scissor Sister killers, has said Black Widow Catherine Nevin is the "face of evil".

And she has also accused the husband-killer of trying to 'steal' her daughter after the two became close while serving time in the Dochas Centre at Mountjoy Prison.

Mulhall served five years for concealing evidence related to the killing of Farah Swaleh Noor in 2005, and has been living in London since her release.

In a tell-all interview with The Star, she revealed that Linda - freed last month after serving 12 years her role in Noor's killing - told her that Nevin was a better mother than her.

‘ BLACK WIDOW ’ CATHERINE NEVIN has this morning lost her attempt to have her murder conviction declared a miscarriage of justice. Sentencing Nevin , trial judge Miss Justice Mella Carroll told her : "You had your husband assassinated, and you tried to assassinate his character as well.

Mulhall said: "Catherine Nevin, let me tell you one thing, she is one f***king b**tch, believe me.

"She tried to take my place as being Linda's mother. Linda told me herself from her own mouth one day, that Catherine Nevin was a better mother to her than I ever was."

Nevin had been serving a life sentence for the murder of her husband Tom at Jack White’s Inn pub, Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow, in 1996.

However, she was released last year after it emerged that she had incurable brain cancer, although she lived more than a year after her diagnosis.

Mulhall said that the relationship between Nevin and her daughter has rocked her, saying that Catherine tried to 'steal' her by giving Linda presents and walking with her arm-in-arm.

She said: "She was never no mother to my daughter and for a daughter to say that to you, how in God's holy name could you say 'She's been more of a mother to me than you ever were'?

"They are the last words I'd ever want to say to my daughter Linda. Linda knows in her heart and soul there was nothing I didn't do for her.

"I looked after her as best I could. She never wanted for anything. Linda was a bit of a handful growing up but I was always there for her."

She added that the situation got so bad that she could no longer bear to live in the same house at the Dochas Centre as Linda and Catherine.

Mulhall said: "We were all in the same house in the Dochas. There was Linda, Catherine Nevin, and me.

"I had to leave the house. I had to beg the staff to take me out of that house, the way I was being treated by my own child and Catherine Nevin, and that's the truth."
