  Murder arrest amid night of violence in London A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman, 28, was stabbed to death at a home in north west London. The woman was found hours after a man was left with life-threatening injuries when he was shot multiple times roughly 1.4 miles away.In another separate attack in the same borough a 26-year-old man was stabbed, leaving him with serious injuries.The Met Police has said the murder in Brent was not linked to the other two attacks in the borough.A 28-year-old woman was found unresponsive by police at home in Neasden Lane, Willesden Green, at roughly 2.30am on Friday.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was found in Lawrence Avenue, Brent, at around 8.34pm on Thursday.

Scotland Yard have said he is in a critical condition in a central London hospital.

No arrests have been made and a weapon has not been recovered.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at approximately 8.34pm to reports of a man with gunshot injuries on Lawrence Avenue, Brent.

"Officers attended."

The shooting came after a 23-year-old man was found with knife injuries in Deptford, south east London, at roughly 8.10pm on Thursday.

The man is in recovering in a south London hospital, and police have not said they believe the incidents are connected.

Officers are yet to make an arrest after the Deptford stabbing.

The Met Police are also investigating after a man, thought to be in his 30s, was found with stab injuries in the Old Kent Road in south-east London.

He is being treated in a south London hospital.

The London Ambulance Service called police to the scene at roughly 3.36am on Friday.

A man, believed to be 28, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The man was seriously injured when a group of men entered his home in Cork and attacked him and his wife. It is believed that shortly after 3am this morning, a number of men with weapons entered the man’s house in Ballincollig, Co Cork and seriously assaulted the man and his partner.The men then left the house.The injured couple were taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.The man’s injuries were described as very serious. Gardaí have confirmed that he has since died from his injuries. A post-mortem is due to be carried out.The woman – aged in her 30s – did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
